The Cure Starts Now Gears Up For Annual Events

CSN at The Dallas Star

North Texas Chapter

We are proud to be working with The North Texas Chapter of The Cure Starts Now to produce events that support the organization’s mission of curing cancer, one child at a time.

The MEG team is gearing up for the chapter’s annual fundraising weekend which includes a golf tournament and fundraising gala. The Sydney’s Band of Gold Golf Tournament kicks off Friday morning, October 6th, and will be a day of hearty competition on the fairways of Stonebriar Country Club in Frisco, TX.

The next evening, October 7th, will mark the 4th Annual Sydney’s Band of Gold Gala. The gala will take place at the brand-new Omni Hotel in Frisco Texas, part of the Dallas Cowboy’s highly anticipated new training facility. This event is held every year in honor of Sydney Bjornberg, who passed away from DIPG in June of 2013. The Cure Starts Now Research Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for pediatric cancer, starting first with one of the most deadly and difficult cancers: pediatric brain cancer. The foundation, along with experts worldwide, believe that the strategies discovered while fighting pediatric brain cancers like DIPG will change the way all cancers are fought. All proceeds from the golf tournament and gala will help find a cure for pediatric cancer. In 2016, the golf tournament and gala raised over $160,000 for pediatric cancer research!
